Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has commenced the online application process for recruitment to 570 posts of Apprentices in the Western Region. Candidates can apply on the official website till February 15, 2022, up to 5.45 PM.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited, IOCL, has announced its recruitment drive for 2022 for the posts of Technical and Non-Technical Apprentices in the Northern Region offices. There are a total of 626 vacancies available. Interested candidates can apply for the posts by going to the official website –

The online applications began on January 17, 2022. The Northern Region comprises locations in Chandigarh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Delhi, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. How to apply for IOCL Recruitment 2022 –

  1. Visit the official site for Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. – 
  2. Under the tab “IndianOil for You” scroll down to “IndianOil for Careers” and click on “Apprenticeships.
  3. A new page will open, click on “Apply Online” under the “Notification for Engagement of Technical and Non-Technical Apprentices – Northern Region (MD)”. Alternatively, candidates can click here for a direct link to the application portal
  4. Once you open the application portal, click on the picture.
  5. A new page will open, click on “Online Registration” and enter your email id and mobile number
  6. After that, you will receive an OTP and you can fill out your application and submit it
  7. Take a printout of your application

The last date to apply for the vacancies in IOCL Northern Region offices is January 31, 2022. Before filling out the application form, candidates should make sure they have the following documents scanned and self-attested in jpeg or pdf format 

  1. 10 standard/SSLC /Matriculation certificate /mark sheet issued by concerned education Board as proof of date of birth.
  2. Certificate of the prescribed educational qualification-ITI/ Graduation/ Diploma in Engineering (as applicable)
  3. EWS / Caste certificate if applicable.
  4. Conversion certificate from CGPA/OGPA/Letter Grade to the percentage of marks, if applicable, from concerned University/Institute.
  5. Certificate mentioning the date of publication of result from the Principal of the Polytechnic/ School/College/ Institute from where the candidate pursued his/her Class XII/ITI (Fitter)/ Graduation/ Diploma course, if applicable.
  6. Signature in black ink.
  7. Recent color passport size photograph

For document verification, candidates must also provide original copies of the documents mentioned above. Candidates should also ensure they have their PAN Card, Aadhar Card, and Bank account, and checkbook in hand for when they apply for the apprenticeships. The registration and filling of the online application close on January 31, 2022.  

Once the candidates have registered, they will be subjected to a written online exam. The test will comprise of 100 questions with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The questions would be in English and Hindi. There will be no negative marking.

Registered candidates are likely to receive their admit cards for the test on February 2, 2022. The tentative date for this written exam is February 6, 2022. A final date will be communicated to the candidates later by IOCL.

The candidates will mainly be selected through the marks they achieve on the written test. The selected candidates will move on for document verification based on the fact that they also meet the required eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the eligibility criteria needed for their vacancies by reading the official notification released by Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.

Candidates in the General and EWS category must be 18 to 24 years as of December 31, 2021. Relaxation of the upper age limit to SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD candidates shall be extended to them based on government guidelines.


Selection Process

The selection process would consist of an online mode of Written Examination. The Online Written Test will comprise of 100 questions and shall be of 90 minutes duration and would mainly comprise of objective type multiple choice (MCQ’s) questions. The questions would be in bilingual i.e. English and Hindi.
